Get your flares out!

Fashion has repeated itself once again; Spring/Summer '14 are bringing back the flares and bell bottom trousers. In the last decade, fashion has seen comebacks of trends and this summer, I think all the comebacks have come into one where all you are going to see is retro everywhere. Many retailers have expressed these trends in a modern way therefore, some who are wearing these trends may not even know it, it's an evolution of 20th century trends.

My outfit today is a combination of boho and grunge (my two favourite styles) - from the fringing of the bag, to the flares and the double cross top. The corduroy trousers were found when me and my mum were sorting through her old clothes, I'm absolutely in love with them and so glad they fit me perfectly. I remember my mum wearing these when I was little, and 3/4 years ago I would've said they were hideous and needed to be thrown up but now I'm broadened my mind to different styles, I see the why my mum loved them so much, plus they comfortable!

I never thought I'd be able to pull off flares or bell bottom trousers because of my short-ish legs, but turns out they don't have look too bad and make my legs look long, which is always a positive thing. So for those who aren't sure about suiting flares or bell bottoms, I recommend you to try them out first before you make a judgement! I'm only 5'4, so there is hope!

Favourite colours - (LATE POST)

Can't believe it's taken me over a week to post this! So sorry, been so busy with end of year coming around quicker than expected..

But anyway,
Managed to sneak in some blog photos while being tourists around Nottingham with my family the other week. I actually didn't intentionally dress 'stylish' that day, I just wanted to be comfy but ended up quite like my outfit, and thought that my new balance trainers haven't actually been featured on my blog yet so why not get some photos in these beautiful gardens surrounding Nottingham Castle.

Photography credits to my 13 and 14 year old brother and sister on their iPhones..

Get your head in the game!

Yes, I love sports luxe! I've wanted a proper jersey vest for so long and at last, at my beloved work place TK Maxx introduced me to this perfect one and I'm in love. What I'm wearing is a large men's jersey vest - if you want a good quality jersey, check out TK Maxx because they have got so many different colours and types of jerseys! It was so hard to choose between all of them but I think I made the right choice cause it goes with most things and suits my skin tone, also was only £14.99!

I am a sucker for large men's clothing and turning them into feminine outfits - it's just fun and comfortable styling! Monday night, most people didn't believe that this was a men's top, which is what I was aiming to do, get away from the masculinity of the jersey vest. I teamed it up with a gold chain, lace up chunky heels and last but not least, I used a tablet holder as a clutch which I thought was ridiculous at first but it actually ended up matching the outfit and wasn't too recognisable unless you looked up close!

So here we have it, my newest outfit on my first night out after getting my student loan in!
