Yes, it's a parental advisory top..

Slogan tees/sweatshirts/vests are becoming a big trend, with Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton and Acne incorporating slogans into their newest collections! And this jumper I'm wearing was a steal from Primark men's - £12.. and I cut myself into a cropped piece (also just a note - Primark are on point with this slogan trend, for bargain prices too, of course!) Anyway, I wore this outfit yesterday when I had to go out and capture some street style around Nottingham; I chose this outfit because it was cold and windy so wanted to stay comfortable/warm but also look like a legit fashion student as I was asking strangers to take photos of them for a project! I paired it with my new H&M tartan blouse which I received for Valentine's, and the rest follows the dark colour palette to keep it simple and comfortable. Then to finish it off, I put on some hoop earrings and one of my fave necklaces (which has made an appearance on my blog before).

I've always been a fan of the cropped jumper/shirt combination because you can be so creative with it! Mix and match colours, prints and even slogans.. I also feel it's both a Spring/Summer trend as well as an Autumn/Winter trend, I'd wear it any season anyway! I never thought I'd pair my slogan sweatshirt with a tartan shirt but you can't really go wrong with a dark palette of colours like these. I feel like old trends from when I was 14/15 are coming back into trend, like fluffy things, chunky shoes, slogan tees and PINK - which if I must say I'm loving, bring me back my childhood trends!

I don't know what the wind did to my hair!?

Oh how I wish I was there..

LONDON FASHION WEEK! I think this one has got to be one of the best, in my opinion anyway.

The top 5 trends spotted at this years Autumn/Winter 2014 LFW and to watch out for are:
1) 3D floral print
2) Blue, blue and more blue
3) Layering
4) Matching co-ords
5) Asymmetric

However, watching a few shows from my Uni room on youtube, I noticed a bit of 90's and the 60's too, in shows including Christopher Kane, Cheap Monday, and Matthew Williamson. Oh how I wish I was in the audience of some of the shows or even just there to experience the atmosphere and admire the street style walking around. Last year, I didn't go to any shows, I just went for street style research and even just going into Somerset House, capturing beautiful and odd outfits was enough of an experience for me. I definitely will try my hardest to attend shows next time! Talking of street style, so many bloggers I follow which include: Kavita Donkersley (shewearsfashion.com) and Becca Rose (beccarose.org), obviously many more too - hit LFW this year, representing bloggers with top style steals. And of course, all the celebrity muses dressed fabulously for this occasion.

Jessie J standing out in an orange jumpsuit, Olivia Palermo keeping warm in that fur gilet,
and Paloma Faith looking classically stunning.
Kavita rocking the sports luxe trend, & Becca rocking the floral print trousers!

My Favourite shows would have to be: KTZ, Tom Ford, Cheap Monday, Matthew Williamson, Vivienne Westwood Red Label and Topshop Unique - just to name a few!

KTZ - odd shapes, crazy prints, gothic/religious vibe, futuristic essence,
urban silhouettes, use of symbols, icons and patterns.

Tom Ford - 60's/90's essence, mix of youthful and mature pieces, sequin
jersey dresses, velvet gowns - native America?

Matthew Williamson - Fierce catwalk show, bodycons, 60's vibe again, prints,
fur, tailored jackets, edgy side of Matthew Williamson.

Topshop Unique - English heritage, big shapes, puffa jackets, countryside
mix with 90's, dramatic wide open catwalk, vintage feel, lot's of fur!

Trent Soldier

Yesterday, I got some jogger trousers from H&M for a bargain price of £12.99! I've wanted some for ages, and now Sport Luxe is coming back in trend, you can now find them almost anywhere in several prints and fabrics. I chose to go for black ones because with my student budget, I have to make practical choices when it comes to shopping so black had to do as it goes with everything! I didn't mind too much though.

Finally we got some sunshine in Nottingham, so I took this opportunity to get some photos of my new trousers! Typically unlucky of me, the sun decided to hide when I was all ready to shoot. Anyway, I went for quite a basic outfit, as they are high waist trousers I chose to pair them with a crop slogan tee then stuck with black with the rest of the outfit except for one of the best bags I have - it goes with almost everything and is perfect for University and it's just so fluffy!

Fur and fluffy things have become such a big trend this Autumn/Winter, as seen on catwalk shows such as Jeremy Scott, Versace and Gucci, as well as everywhere on the High Street - especially in Topshop! This trend has crept its way up from the 90's and nobody's hesitating to bring it back; one person being myself. I think that this is one of many retro trends which I'm loving at the moment. It is also one of them daring trends but now it's in trend, In my opinion, everybody should try it out and be experimental with fur - don't just stick to the normality of fur coats, be adventurous!

Finally, if you're wondering why 'Trent Soldier' - I go to Nottingham Trent University and we're called the Trent Army, so now it's pretty self explanatory.

Sunday Funday

I think the title is the best way to describe today for Cara Delevingne. Today is the day her Mulberry bag collection is launched - she is the model of the moment, hangs out with superstars and now she's got a range of luxury bags named after her, could she get any luckier!?

The Made In England Cara Delevinge collection features three sizes in three different finishes. According to Mulberry, Cara has actually been quite hands on with this collection - her passion for designing was shown through the process of this collection. She was making sure every element of the designing and making was right - from taking the traditional Mulberry signature look and add her own unique look to it. The concept of this collection was that the bags would take anybody anywhere; from getting you through your busy lifestyle or just going out for lunch with friends - adding elegance to you normal days.

'Beautifully Practical, Practically Beautiful' - Mulberry.

The Unveiling of the Cara Collection

I really do love this collection because I can definitely see Cara Delevingne's personal style reflected through the traditional design of Mulberry Bags. Away from her crazy modelling life, Cara is an urban girl on her casual days - rocking Rag&Bone, Timberlands, Trapstar and American Apparel; therefore I wasn't surprised with the prints and straps of these bags. And personal style was important to Cara Delevingne in the making of this collection - 'I wanted there to be hidden gems inside, based on things that are personal to me, which my tattoos definitely are'. Inside the bags, is a small lion rivet and a heart shaped patch which is based around Cara's tattoos. As well as that, the collection has been stamped 'Made in England' which she has tattooed on the bottom of her foot and showcased at her unveiling of the Cara Collection today!

This is my favourite one out of the collection

Isn't she beautiful!

'It's my boyfriend's jacket'

Monday was my first day back at Uni after a 2 week break (reading week) and I knew that the early morning would kill me so I prepared this outfit the night before. At the moment, I'm feeling my inner girlyness coming out - pinks, fluffyness and dresses are really become an attraction of mine. So thought I'd express my inner girlyness with this outfit - I teamed a pink sleeveless American Apparel blouse, with the comfiest dress over; I don't often do this shirt/dress combo but I felt like a change and it actually worked together!

Sadly, with it being horrible winter weather, I had to put on some tights and a jacket, otherwise I'd wear just the shirt/dress as it is. But anyway, here I am bringing out winter floral.. I think I'm just desperate for summer to come around! This dress reminds me of a dress my mum used to have but I told her to chuck it as I had no idea the trend would return, so when Topshop brought this dress out, I just had to get it, however did wait til it went into the sale - being the bargain hunter I am.

Being back to Uni, my lovely satchel is able to come out to play! I was so happy when I found this in Primark, because it was perfect and cheap. All the other good priced ones just weren't good quality or what I wanted so thank you Primark once again for this replica of the Cambridge satchel - which I find will be one of those long-lasting trends, definitely think everybody should own a satchel!

Yes, it's those boots again, the ones I literally live in, they're just the best and so comfy, can't help myself..
